S.A.G.E. - The Valley Center Recreation Commission is very proud of its youth sports programs and the positive environment that the S.A.G.E. program has allowed them to operate under. What is S.A.G.E.?

S.A.G.E. is an attitude, a belief and a behavior. In the world of sports, where the focal point should be the kids, learning and accomplishing a task and having a good time, it has sometime regressed to the point that doing one’s best, whether it be by a player, coach or sports official, is no longer good enough.

The S.A.G.E. program is designed and intended to offer sports a positive environment for the participants and to educate the adults as to how to facilitate this. S.A.G.E. stands for Set A Good Example.
